Local leaders in Mariveles led by Mayor AJ Concepcion and Vice Mayor Lito Rubia want to hasten the construction of a General Hospital here to immediately provide medical needs to residents.

The hospital is being constructed inside the Mariveles Mental Wellness and General Hospital (MMWGH) compound.

The top two Mariveles officials attended this week an Inter-Agency Coordination Meeting held at MMWGH that tackled how to hasten the construction of the General Hospital.

“Ang General Hospital na itatayo sa MMWGH ay lubos na makakatulong sa ating mga kababayan dahil imbis na pumunta pa tayo ng Lungsod ng Balanga para makapagpa-ospital ay dito pa lang po ay mag-agapan na ang anumang sakit ng ating mga kababayan”, the mayor said.

“Patuloy po tayong makikipagtulungan sa iba’t-ibang ahensya at institusyon dito sa ating bayan para sa pagpapaunlad at pagbibigay ng dekalidad na serbisyong pangkalusugan”, he added.

The Sangguniang Bayan headed by Rubia fully supports Concepcion’s thrust of improving health services for Mariveles folks.

The Inter-Agency Coordination Meeting was also attended by MMWGH Medical Chief Dr. Lourdes Evangelista, DPWH Bataan Engr. Ulysses Ubaldo, and Barangay ng Poblacion Capt. Francisco Delos Reyes.
